Music From Naphta (bandcamp)

Music From Naphta is a special latin styled hip-hop album originally released in Japan in 2006 via Nujabes' Hydeout Productions label & Rockwell Product Shop.

Nujabes approached Funky DL to release this album as a follow up to DL's 2005 release "The Latin Love Story" because he fell in love with DL's production spanning across these conceptual albums.

Nujabes was so into this project by Funky DL that he volunteered to design the CD artwork, so the vivid water colour design is also the creative art and work of Jun Seba.

Like the artwork, the music is bright and eclectic with a vast use of samba and bossa nova styled breaks and loops, whilst DL flows smoothly over each groove.
