Both "Free Jazz" and "First Take" were recorded in single uninterrupted takes of 37 minutes, 3 seconds, and 17 minutes, respectively. These performances by Ornette Coleman's Double Quartet are heard here exactly as performed in the studio, without any splicing or editing.
