Wake Up

With a mixture of driving drums, dynamic guitar tones, and strong vocals, Canopy Red has a sound similar to Mute Math, Sanctus Real and Tenth Avenue North. Their debut EP continues to play over radio stations worldwide, including their music video for the song "Falling Apart". Canopy Red's new full-length album is a progression in musical and lyrical development that shows their maturity beyond their years.

The Wake Up album begins with perspective and ultimately it centers around the question of why are we here and why do we do what we do. As a band we realized that we were spending a lot of our time on things that simply don't matter. Our culture is saturated with social media, television, internet and it can be so easy to spend our lives consumed in finite and petty things. According to A.C. Nielson the average American will spend nine years of their life watching television. When we saw that statistic it rocked us because when we really stepped back and thought about our lives we found that path to be the one we were headed on.

But we found hope and renewal in the Gospel. We are made in the image of God with a specific plan and purpose. When we sat down and started writing songs for this project we wanted to communicate to people and continually remind ourselves of this truth.
