Founded in Hamburg with branches opened in Leipzig (1832) and New York (1850).
The New York branch was re-named Edward Schuberth & Co. sometime around 1875 and started issuing its own series of publications independently.
J. Schuberth acquired Felix Siegel of Leipzig in 1899.
